Reshipping scams
Are Package Inspector Jobs Legit?
Some real logistics jobs exist, but work-from-home package inspector jobs are often risky. Scammers may ask people to receive packages, inspect them, relabel them, and forward them. These packages can be connected to fraud or stolen goods.
Red flags
- You are asked to receive packages at your home.
- The job pays a lot for simple shipping tasks.
- There is no real interview or official payroll process.
- The company asks for your home address or ID too early.
- The recruiter uses personal email or messaging apps.
What to do
Do not accept or forward packages until you verify the company independently. Ask for a formal job description, official website, and phone or video interview.
